Calaveras Playing Cards features art inspired by Jose Posada and the Mexican Day of the Dead. Every royal is a delightful and unexpected take on that theme rendered in a woodcut and engraved style typical of Posada's work in the late 1800s and early 1900s. He worked at the time of the Mexican Revolution and his Calaveras really caught on-surviving to this day as iconic expressions of the holiday, the social views he held, and the times through which he lived.

Calaveras Playing Cards honors the traditions and work of Posada in a premium deck of playing cards with rich printing and classic DoP foil-finished tuck.
